The Turkish Handball Federation has launched its long-awaited mobile app. Developed under ARDVENTURE sponsorship, the THF Mobile App is available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play Store.
The app brings together all content related to Turkish handball under one roof: live scores, league fixtures and standings, National Team schedules, THF TV broadcasts, news, and official documents. Fans, players and coaches will now be able to follow the league and the national teams anytime, anywhere.
The app did not arrive on its own. The Federation also recently rolled out a redesigned website and brought the story of Turkish handball to the screen with a documentary marking its 50th anniversary. A new website, a new mobile app, a 50th-anniversary documentary — together with Ziraat Bankası's sponsorship of the Presidential Cup and ARDVENTURE's naming sponsorship of the league, all of these point in the same direction: making handball more visible, more accessible and more institutional. These are genuinely welcome steps, and ones that have been a long time coming.
That said, we have one friendly wish: that this digital push cover the past as thoroughly as it does the present. Live scores, along with current and last season's data, are already in the app; what we would really like to see is what lies further back. Being able to look up what happened in past seasons of our leagues — the champions of those seasons, the standings, the scores that risk being forgotten — with the same ease is every bit as valuable as up-to-date data. A sport has a memory as well as a future, and that memory only survives through an accessible archive.
The centralisation of data marks a symbolic threshold in the professionalisation of any sport. Turkish handball has finally gained the digital showcase whose absence has long been discussed. The next step is to add the past to that showcase as well: once current data and archive come together, the digital memory of Turkish handball will be complete.

In This Story
- The THF mobile app, sponsored by ARDVENTURE, has launched on the App Store and Google Play, combining live scores, fixtures, standings, National Teams, THF TV, news and official documents in one app.
- The app did not come alone: alongside a redesigned website and a 50th-anniversary documentary, it forms part of the Federation's push toward digitalisation and institutional growth — welcome steps that have been long awaited.
- One wish remains: that this digital leap also embraces the past, making past seasons' champions, standings and scores across the leagues accessible too. A sport's memory lives on through its archive.
A new website, a new mobile app, a 50th-anniversary documentary — the Federation's digital presence is now treated as core business rather than an afterthought, and that is a positive development. But these steps share one gap: the past. Live scores are in your pocket, last season is in the app too — but where are the champions of older seasons, that unforgettable final, the archived standings? What builds a sport is not only its present but its remembered past. Once digitalisation extends to the past — once the archive opens up — the memory of Turkish handball will finally enter this showcase too. The foundation has been laid; now it's time to add the past to it.
