Beşiktaş Handball Team is rounding off its pre-season preparations with a test abroad. According to the club's announcement, the Black-and-Whites will take part in the 2026 Procural Cup, to be held in Plock, Poland, on 8-9 August. Alongside Beşiktaş, well-known names from European handball such as RK Nexe, host club Orlen Wisla Plock and TTH Holstebro will also feature in the tournament.

Per the fixture list, Beşiktaş will open with a clash against RK Nexe on Saturday, 8 August at 16:30. Should the team come away with a win, they will meet the winner of the Orlen Wisla Plock-TTH Holstebro tie in the final, set for Sunday, 9 August at 17:30. In the event of a loss, Beşiktaş will instead contest the third-place match on the same day at 15:00.

The club stated that its preparation process is ongoing and that this tournament marks one of the final stages of that build-up. Taking part in an event of this kind offers a different reality than standard pre-season friendlies: the strength of the opposing squads, the difference in tempo, and the necessity of playing back-to-back matches over three days all allow the team's physical and tactical readiness to be assessed under genuine conditions.

Opening against a strong representative of Croatian handball such as RK Nexe represents a critical test for Beşiktaş, both in terms of morale and in terms of the data it will yield. The result of this match will also determine the level of opposition the team faces for the remainder of the tournament.
